This is My Interpretation of the The Lover Tarot from the Rider Waite tarot
deck based on images from the book Liliana. This is illustrated and written by
Apeles Mestre

Its based around this imagery -

A naked man and woman are standing naked in the Garden of Eden. There is the
Tree of knowledge behind the woman and tree of life behind the man. The tree of
life has 12 flames on it that represent the 12 signs of the zodiac. There is a
serpent wrapped around the tree of knowledge that shows temptation, but the
woman is looking at the angel and not at the snake. The women and man, are not
wearing anything, which shows that they have nothing to hide from each other.
The image of angel Raphael is above their heads giving them blessings. Raphael
is the angel of air. There is a huge and warm sun behind the angel. The sun
represents warmth, joy, energy, vitality, and passion.

The Lovers signifies perfect union, harmony, love and attraction. The Lovers
can represent finding the balance within oneself. You are learning to
understand yourself, your own personal moral code and what you value in life.
This will bring harmony and balance to your life. In general when The Lovers
Tarot card appears it is an indication that you have major choices to make or
are faced with a dilemma. You may be feeling uncertain about situations, people
in your life or what direction you should take. These are important decisions
you are faced with. Don’t automatically go for the easy road, make sure you
have all the information and make the right decision. Even if it seems like a
difficult path, it will lead you on to greater things.

In this case I have used fairies for the above in gold, black and white to
bring out the image.
