This listing is for a made to order sink that will take 3-4 weeks from start
to finish. Recently I had a customer request a simple modern design shaped bowl
with more then one color that flowed together. There was a lot of color glaze
testing to get just the right effect for the costomer but I was so happy with
the effect that I wanted to offer it as a made to order sink. Included in the
listing I will make up to 3 small test bowls with glaze colors of your choice
together to model the effect you want. This listing is for either a simple
smooth rim, or one with simple added textrure such as an organic rimmed bowl
(ornate stamped rims would be at an additional charge). I will need the your
desired diameter up to 15" at this price and height up to 7". I will also need

Sinks are especially challenging because the often don't make it through the
firing process because they are large porcelain objects fired to vitrification
so they will often warp or crack, probably less then half turn out successful.

Crystalline glazed ceramics is a very involved process. The flower-like
appearance of the glaze is actually zinc crystals that grow in the glaze during
a slow controlled cooling after the peak temperature is reached. The glaze is
very fluid and tends to run of the pot so a catcher is also thrown and fired
under the piece to catch the run off glaze. The catcher is then separated and
the bottom is ground down if there are any sharp edges or uneven glaze pools.
Since the process is so involved there is a lot that can go wrong, so each
successful piece is precious and completely unique.

The porcelain is a cone 9 porcelain fired to cone 9, that means it is
completely vitrified (glass like) and will not absorb water. Please do not use
abrasive cleaners (this will wear down the glaze over time). Plumbing not
included.

I am now packaging myself and shipping through USPS due to breakage occurring
with other methods. They are insured. Packaging for two boxes and bubble wrap
is about $10-15 per sink and the actual shipping cost varies based on delivery
distance from me. I do refund shipping overcharges or would be happy to change
the price prior to purchase if you shipping is less because of location
proximity to me.
