"VERY CLEAN WHITE ENAMEL CHAMBER POT WITH A BLACK RIMMED COVER"

This old chamber pot is in very good condition. There is a large chip at the
rim on the pot but nothing inside. A few chips and rust on the cover. The
outside of the pot has no chips except for a small one on the bottom edge. The
bottom has a small spot that looks like it is starting to rust. The heavy wire
has a wooden handle and the wire is rusting. This may have been used for a milk
bucket, storage for vegetables, chamber pot or diaper pail. Now you can use it
for storage of vegetables or fruit, diaper pail, flower pot, yard decoration,
garden decor or toys. Very attractive useful enamel pail. It has a nice ginger
jar shape with the cover. It is quite old as they were popular in the 1930's
and 1940's to use as a chamber pot so you wouldn't have to use the out house at
night or during inclement weather. They were usually kept in a bedroom closet.
I remember my aunt and uncle had one in a closet until they put in a real
bathroom in their house in the late 1960's or 70's.
